Research on Online Exploitation & Child Safety
Mission Statement :
This site documents my research into online exploitation and crimes against children. My goal is to understand exploitation vectors, emerging technologies, enforcement efforts, and gaps in current approaches. To that end, my main focus is analyzing and compiling publicly available information, case studies, and technical research to understand the landscape of child exploitation and explore how technology can be applied to reduce harm and aid those working to protect children.
To be frank without being excessively graphic these cases include :
a) grooming and sexual exploitation by family / trusted adult OR AI impersonation
b) deepfakes, extortion, threats from unsavory individuals and scammy orgs
c) organized large scale exploitation facilitated, financed, or coordinated through online platforms / networks
d) production and/or distribution of CSAM
